About the Role
The DFH Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed estimates for commercial door, frame, and hardware packages. This role requires strong plan-reading skills, familiarity with Division 8 specifications, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, suppliers, and GC partners to ensure bids are complete, competitive, and aligned with project requirements.
Requirements
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda for DFH scope
Perform detailed takeoffs for hollow metal, wood doors, frames, and hardware
Prepare accurate cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages
Manage bid deadlines and coordinate with vendors for pricing
Work within Procore and other estimating/takeoff software
Communicate with project managers and field teams to ensure scope clarity
Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and awarded projects
Assist with submittals and value engineering when required
